Common Grounds Maintenance

Who is responsible for removing litter?

We all are! Water’s Edge contracts with a grounds maintenance company to maintain the common areas during the spring, summer, and early fall. As part of the contract, they pick up litter in the grassy common areas and on the playgrounds. However, we all need to pitch in to help keep our community clean. [Top of Page]

Can I trim branches from trees in the common area are extending over my fence or hitting the side of my townhome?

Yes. Homeowners are authorized to prune branches of common area trees extending onto their property. However, homeowners are liable for the improper or excessive pruning which results in the death of a tree. Homeowners are not authorized to remove trees from WETA common areas. Water’s Edge is responsible for trimming trees in the common and parking areas, and for removing dead or fallen trees. [Top of Page]
